Jetta’s really angry because all Jake thinks about is
his car. She’s coming across the street to tell him off,
but he’s oblivious in his narcissistic love of his shiny
ride. She is doing all the work and reaping none of
the rewards. She’s literally “taking a back seat” to his
focus on his possessions.
She is feeling unimportant and hurt because of his
negligence and lack of attention towards her.
